Belfair’s East Course opened in 1999 and is reminiscent of the links courses of Scotland while showcasing the area’s deep-water views, freshwater lakes, and lagoons. Golfweek Magazine ranks both courses among the “Best Residential Courses” in the United States in their 2022 ranking, as well as perennial recipients of Golf Digest’s “Best Courses in South Carolina list.” The East Course at Belfair is a true test of strategy and precision, challenging the players shot making abilities at seemingly every turn.  This par-71 course, stretching over 6,900 yards from the championship tees, is known for its parkland-style layout, with tree-lined fairways, large, undulating greens, and strategically placed bunkers.  The East Course is designed to challenge your shot-making abilities. The fairways are narrower compared to the West Course, requiring accuracy off the tee. 

• Signature Holes: The par-3 6th hole is a standout, with a picturesque view of the marshlands and a green that is well-protected by water and bunkers. The par-5 13th hole is another favorite, offering a risk-reward opportunity with a dogleg left and a narrow approach to the green, surrounded by water.

The creation of the East Course was inspired by the exquisite charm of the Lowcountry’s natural landscape. Encircled by native Live Oak trees adorned with graceful Spanish moss, the East Course boasts a multitude of organic sand pockets, indigenous grasses, and expansive unspoiled vistas.
