Bear Creek is most known for its meticulously maintained greens, featuring Super Dwarf TifEagle Bermuda grass, which is specifically engineered to thrive in the Lowcountry's unique climate and water conditions. This state-of-the-art grass ensures that the greens are always in top condition, offering a smooth and true putting surface that golfers of all skill levels will appreciate. Over the past 34 years, these greens have become some of the most celebrated on Hilton Head Island, known for their consistency and playability.

One of the course's standout features is its walkability, making it one of the few courses in the area where walking is not only feasible but enjoyable. 

Signature Holes:

  • Hole 9: This par-4 requires a precise tee shot to avoid the lagoons on either side of the fairway. The approach shot is equally challenging, with a narrow green flanked by deep bunkers.
  • Hole 15: A demanding par-3 that plays over water, where accuracy is crucial to avoid the large lagoon that guards the front and right side of the green.
  • Hole 18: The final hole at Bear Creek is where a lot of tides can turn.  It has you navigating a narrow fairway lined with pines, leading to a green bordered by a substantial lagoon. Anything and everything can happen here.
